CCTV systems

Monitoring of outdoor and indoor areas

CCTV systems are used to monitor both outdoor and indoor areas. The system usually consists of fixed and rotating cameras that can either work in fully automatic mode, or be controlled by a building security officer.

This system is a supplement to the protection of persons and property. The system does not provide direct protection, it is merely a tool for detecting and monitoring a potential danger, or to identify danger or property loss.

Modern camera systems allow connection to LAN/WAN networks. A user with sufficient access rights can connect to the system remotely and watch the camera footage in real time, watch a recording, or remotely control the entire device.
The systems are either classified as Analog or IP Digital depending on the technology used for sensing and transmitting the signal. Each system has its advantages and disadvantages. The most commonly used system today is the IP CCTV system, both for financial reasons and due to additional functions, availability and technical feasibility.

TYPES OF CAMERAS

SMART SECURITY

INDUSTRIAL AND ROTATING CAMERAS

The advantage of industrial cameras is that a “tailor-made” camera point can be put together according to the customer’s specific requirements (i.e. camera + lens + cover + source + IR reflector, etc.). Rotating cameras with a zoom lens are used for monitoring large spaces where the operator of the CCTV system is not just dependent on footage from static cameras.
The CCTV system operator can rotate the cameras in the desired direction and watch different close-ups as needed. These cameras are suitable for applications with high demands on image quality and sensitivity, and for various special applications; they have a higher purchase price and come in larger sizes than compact cameras.

Advantages

  • the ability to set up a “tailor-made” camera point according to specific customer requirements
  • rotating cameras with a zoom lens are used to monitor outdoor areas
  • the CCTV system operator can rotate the cameras in the desired direction and watch different close-ups as needed
  • the cameras are suitable for applications with high demands on image quality and sensitivit
SMART SECURITY

COMPACT CAMERAS

Compact cameras with a built-in lens are becoming increasingly popular. Compact cameras are supplied in various encased variations with a lens and a wall or ceiling mount, depending on the installation method, or with infrared illumination for nighttime monitoring.

The compact design of the outdoor camera housing (cylindrical housing with sun visor or hemispherical vandal proof housing, infrared LED illumination, adjustable varifocal lens, automatic day/night switching) is chosen according to the specifications, the installation method and the requirements for the CCTV system. These cameras are suitable for a wide range of common applications, for residential houses, shops, offices, etc.

Advantages

  • compact cameras are supplied in various housings with a lens
  •  infra illumination for nighttime monitoring
  •  the cameras are suitable for a wide range of common applications, for residential houses, shops, offices, etc

SMART SECURITY

HIDDEN AND MINI CAMERAS

Hidden cameras come in different variations, namely in glasses, earphones, pens, buttons, screws, PIR motion sensors, peepholes, alarm clocks, etc. Hidden cameras can also come with pocket recorders. For installation in various devices.

Various miniature cameras with a single CMOS chip embedded in plastic and equipped with a lens and an entrance pupil the size of a pinhead (pinhole lens) are suitable as hidden cameras. The technical specifications of these cameras are not as favourable as those of the previous ones.

Advantages

  • hidden cameras come in different variations
  • hidden cameras in glasses, earphones, pens, buttons, screws, PIR motion sensors, peepholes, alarm clocks, etc.
